Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long does the assessment take to complete?
A: The assessment takes about 45 minutes to complete across 4 modules. You don't have to do them all in one sitting – you can save your progress and return later.
Q: Is the assessment really free?
A: Yes! We believe everyone deserves access to these insights. The assessment is completely free. At this stage, we want as many people to do the assessment as possible, because we are science-first and want to make sure we are getting everything correctly as we expand our reach. The next stages of building will lead to this being integrated into our app with our tools, and the payment model for future offerings may vary. At this point, all of our offerings are free and you will not encounter any paywall or request to buy anything. We will not ask for a credit card or any form of payment.
Q: How is this different from other personality or financial assessments?
A: Unlike assessments that simply label you or focus only on spending habits, our assessment reveals the underlying patterns connecting your financial behaviors to your relationships. We don't just tell you what you do or what to do—we help you understand why, providing insights that lead to meaningful change.
Q: Do I need to be experiencing financial problems to benefit?
A: Not at all. Our assessment provides valuable insights for anyone looking to better understand their relationship patterns, whether with money, family, work, parenting or themselves. Even those with healthy finances benefit from understanding their underlying patterns and it brings understanding as other people in their lives who are struggling with money take the assessment, so the benefit to the first person often is the best reward those deeper intimate conversations.
Q: How scientific is this approach?
A: Our methodology is grounded in established psychological frameworks including attachment theory, schema therapy, and behavioral finance. We continuously collect and analyze data and work with our experts and data scientists to validate our approach, while remaining open to the wisdom of more intuitive systems.
This is exactly why you will see changes over time as our data sets expand—we have already made adjustments as we learn. The hyper-personalization is both on the back-end science and on the front-end for you to experience as we grow.
At this stage, you are growing up with us as we understand deeper patterns within the diverse communities we serve. Q: What exactly will I receive after completing the assessment?
A: You'll receive a comprehensive report that includes your relationship wealth insights, identification of your "shining side" and "shadow side" financial behaviors, your specific blind spots, and personalized strategies for creating more balance in your financial ecosystem. We even give you homework for you to do right away, if you want to dive deeper.
Q: Can couples take the assessment together?
A: Absolutely! In fact, it's highly recommended. When both partners complete the assessment, you'll gain insights into how your financial patterns interact with each other, creating a foundation for more productive conversations. We encourage couples, friends and full family systems. That’s actually how we created it with our own families, to be able to understand who we are, and how we change behaviors through a human centered family systems model.
Q: Is my data private and secure?
A: Yes. We take privacy seriously. Your assessment data is encrypted and never shared with third parties. We use aggregate, anonymized data only for research to improve our methodology.
Q: How does this compare to therapy?
A: While this assessment doesn't replace therapy, many therapists recommend it as a complementary tool. It provides a framework and language that can accelerate therapeutic work and offers immediate insights into your psychology around what drives you, how your shame shows up, when you disconnect and connect. And we place your money story and self reported financials into these patterns.
Q: How soon will I see results in my relationships?
A: Many users report immediate "aha moments" that change how they view their financial behaviors and motivators. However, lasting change occurs over time as you apply the insights consistently, from building savings to parenting from a more grounded place, it’s all connected. Some relationships see significant improvements that day, starting conversations you did not even know to have, others within weeks, while deeper patterns will take longer to shift. But you feel less alone in moving that ship. We get you unstuck, that movement depends how deep down those anchors go.
Q: I'm not good with financial terms. Will I still understand the assessment?
A: Absolutely. We've designed the assessment and results to be accessible regardless of your financial literacy level. You may find questions that are intentionally phrased oddly, just pick what feels most like you. This assessment is lengthy so one question here or there that does not feel perfect is a part of the design. Just keep moving through trusting a little bit of the process and the assessment tools are not a social media quiz, we have scientific tools and systems calculating as you input. We focus on relationships and behaviors, not complex financial concepts. Even if your pressing goal is to learn how to invest, we are focused on what’s blocking you, what brings on that hesitation, or learning something new? We talk about fear, joy, and scarcity mindset. We are not teaching you how to day trade.
Q: Can I share my results with others?
A: Yes! We encourage it! This can be useful to discuss with partners, family members, or even financial advisors and therapists.
Q: What if I don't relate to my results?
A: While this is rare, we understand that no assessment is perfect. If you feel your results don't accurately reflect your experience, please reach out to us. Your feedback, good, bad, and ugly helps us grow. We're continually refining our approach and value your feedback. It can also indicate something else that we do not assess for.
Q: Is there any follow-up or support after I receive my results?
A: Yes. Once you receive your results, you'll have access to resources that help you apply the insights, including articles, exercises, and recommendations for further exploration. These tools are being developed as we grow and the home for all of these tools are under development at this time. Like all of us, we are a work in progress.
